Green Schoolyards

The Couch became involved with Green Schoolyards America and we are currently working toward spreading the initiative to create outdoor environments that both benefit the local ecological systems and the school grounds in which they are placed. These living schoolyards create opportunities for interesting hands-on curricula, and a wide arrange of play and social engagements for children and youth alike, while also engaging the community around them.

Projects we've done include rain gardens, water harvesting, and outdoor classrooms! Stay tuned for more exciting projects!
